Winter wedding at the Manchester Museum | Helen & Ollie

Winter wedding in Manchester
Ollie and Helen wanted their winter wedding to be personal, relaxed and meaningful. A wedding day full of laughter, family & friends, eating, drinking and partying!

When they met each other, they found out that they had actually been studying at Manchester Uni at the same time 10 years before, had some friends in common, and even lived round the corner from each other more than once. It was then natural for them to get married in the beautiful building that is Manchester University and Museum.

Helen and Ollie love travelling – Dubai, Thailand, Croatia, Italy, New York, San Francisco, Jamaica, Bahrain, Ghana – and had their friends and family coming from all across the world on the day, including Ghana, the US and Norway to celebrate their love with them. Their wedding day was in February 2020 just before the first Covid-19 lockdown, which is incredible to think about now during a pandemic, and they felt so lucky to be able to celebrate their wedding with so many guests coming from so many different countries.

Helen and Ollie’s winter wedding at the Manchester museum was incredible. They started with a ceremony in the Whitworth Council Chamber and then had the dinner and the party in Christie’s Bistro. I personally love the fact that they also were able to use the Fossils gallery to meet their evening guests for a prosecco toast and the speeches.
